Executive Vice President
David Wax serves as Executive Vice President of WAXIE Sanitary Supply. He is responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and for Corporate Accounts.
As a ninth grader, David started working at the family owned business in the afternoons after school, during weekends and over the summer months.
David received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1977 and a master’s degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis from National University in 1981.
After his graduation from college, David started his full-time career with the family business by working in San Diego in customer service, purchasing and sales and served as a district sales manager. In 1984, when WAXIE purchased a Salt Lake City distributor of sanitary maintenance supplies, David moved to Utah to oversee the transition and manage the new operation as general manager. In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles to serve as division manager for the Los Angeles operations. Then, in 1994, he moved back to San Diego to oversee marketing and merchandising. In 2000, he assumed his current position.
Within the local area, David serves as the Vice President of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center and sits on its board of directors.
