Sales Manager
WAXIE Sanitary Supply, has an immediate opening for a seasoned and successful Sales Manager for our Palm Springs division.
WAXIE is seeking a Sales Manager who possesses the following traits and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the sales team and all decisions and actions of personnel under his/her jurisdiction
- Organize selling function so that it is performed in the most effective manner to maintain current business and realize new business opportunities
- Responsible for insuring the market is receiving proper sales coverage through time and territory management of sales personnel through account assignment and rotation
- Select, train, direct, and motivate employees; appraise performance and create development plans, recommend salary and account actions for subordinates to assure a stable and competent organization
- Insure that all sales personnel follow accounting, data processing, shipping, receiving, purchasing and sales procedures and policies
- Assist with planning special events such as trade shows, banquets, and seminars
Required:
- 3-4 years industry related sales and management experience with proven track record of success and profitability
- Proven record of superior leadership in building a team-based organization
- Strong supervisory experience in managing a staff of 7+ sales personnel
- Ability to interact professionally with vendors, customers and division personnel
- Demonstrated/effective organizational skills, conflict management skills, problem solving skills, and analytical skills
